Looking to sell a rather uncommon Kynoch-Conversion Chassepot in 11mm. From what I’ve read these were a commercial attempt of converting the French Chassepot needle rifle to accept metallic cartridges. I ended up finding this example sitting above a fire place at an estate sale. Was rather dirty, but it cleaned up very well. Very good bore with minimal frosting. Looks to be all matching for the conversion. The clearing rod is serialized and does not match. Wood is in excellent shape with no cracks or break inside or out. Smooth bolt throw, and a good trigger. Not sure how to price this as they don’t come up very often. There’s one on gunbroker for 800, but I’d argue it’s a little rougher than this example. There’s also one on sarco for 1200 but it’s much nicer. I think 600 is fair for this example. Will consider trades on other interesting firearms. Particularly on the hunt for a Cetme/G3, an FAL, or a decent AK. Willing to add cash as well.
